A soldering pick allows you to move molten solder precisely. Picks are usually made from titanium or tungsten steel because solder will not stick to these metals. When soldering platinum, however, you need a tungsten tip, which is more heat tolerant than titanium. The Tungsten/Titanium Soldering Pick is provided with 2 tips: 1 in titanium (1.5mm dia.) and one in tungsten (1.25mm dia.). This tool is also equipped with a non-slip, heat resistant grip and a stainless steel shield to protect your hand from heat and solder. Tips are 2 1/2” long and overall length is 6 3/4”.
