The short, paddle-like cross-section (approx. 5 x 17 mm) is designed for filing broad, flat or curved surfaces. The "safe" (non-cutting) curved top surface prevents it from removing material you don't want to remove. The cutting area has a gentle curve and a rounded tip. 6" long overall with the same profile on both ends.
