The handle is meticulously fashioned from African Padauk, a type of rosewood, shaped to provide perfect balance and control. Bill Fretz's new Chasing Hammer is a modern rendering of a classic style. The 29 mm face is slightly bowed, while the ball pein end is 12.5 mm in diameter. Both working surfaces are highly polished. The pistol grip handle is fashioned from rosewood and is perfectly balanced to provide maximum control.
