The Foredom Belt Sander offers a power assist to sanding jobs and can be used to sand and smooth metal, wood, acrylic, and composite materials. It is an all-metal, quality-machined aluminum device that attaches with ease over the top of your Foredom no. 30 handpiece (also fits 30SJ slip joint and 30H square drive models). You can also fixture the Belt Sander Attachment by coupling it with Foredom’s Handpiece Holder. Equipped with 3 permanently lubricated ball bearings and measures 4 7/8" long x 1 3/4" wide (at widest) x 2" tall. The Sander should be used at speeds below 5000 RPM, so it works best with a motor that has a maximum speed of 5000 RPM like the Foredom LX motor (see related products below). Provided with 10 assorted sanding belts measuring 10 x 257 mm in grits 100, 180, and 240. Additional belt assortment is available separately below and includes 18 belts in the grits 100, 180, 240, 320, 600, and 1000.
