 There are a number of flexible shaft hand grinders manufactured in China of varying quality. We found one whose design conception and craftsmanship are well above average for motors from that region. Though we are not recommending this motor for all-day use, we tested it under this condition, and it's performance far exceeded our expectations.
The motor is rated nominally at 1/4 HP, though we estimate actual horsepower to be 1/8 HP. The sheath that houses the flexible shaft is spring reinforced at both ends for enhanced durabilty. Shaft connection accepts all American-style (QD) handpieces. Chucking capacity of the Jacobs-style chuck is 5/32." Maximum speed is 22,000 rpm.
